Hey, wonder if anyone can help me. A part of my original brew unit for my Saeco Magic de luxe coffee machine broke off, so I ordered a new one with a new spring and ball valve thing. Before everything worked ok, but now when I try to make a coffee it doesn't come through. I've observed the process with the door open and see that from somewhere near the top of the brew unit the coffee spurts out, with it all ending up in the brew unit and the bit where the old grains go. When I remove the ball from the brew unit, the coffee comes through fine but obviously really weak and not nice tasting. Could anyone advise me what exactly the problem could be here? I've cleaned the brewunit and regreased everything, ive ran the decalcifying cycle with the phillips descaling solution thing, ive tried the old ball and spring. This has all been over a long time period though (since September non-functional). Gratefuly for any help - its so heavy i dont really want to have to take it to a repair shop - ive no car! I've taken a video so can provide if would be helpful. thanks.

Could you please also guide us on the exact type of food-grade grease you used there? along with any brand recommendation, upper high temp limit, viscosity, water repellence, etc

What grease we can buy?

I installed the new rebuild kit, but I don't know why the needle / spillo in idle position is closed (I can sense with my nail without the filter basket) when I try to make the coffee, nothing flow down. It's like the cam spring is not strong enough to bring the cam in the position where the needle is lifted. Do you have any idea why is not working properly?

It only works on some brew units. My DeLonghi 4200s brew unit, you only get as far as removing the clip. The black part does NOT come out! Yours fell out unintentionally. My one, the is no method of getting past the dog clip.

My 4300 we cannot pull the brew unit out it seems to be stuck. I have viewed the video’s and we are really stuck. Are there additional screw to remove to help us to get it out to clean

Thank you, so happy to see this. The condition of the is brew group is like my brew group. I’ve followed the manufacturer cleaning instructions to just rinse the brew group. I was shocked to how the coffee built up in the factory grease and then the instructions say to add grease every few months🤯 So I didn’t grease it didn’t make sense for the amount of coffee build up after having a manual coffee machine. Now I feel confident I can clean all that build up and re greasing now makes sense. I had been worried that the manufacture felt maybe properly cleaning would damage stuff and I was trusting the manufacturers instructions. Your video makes sense to me in the knowledge of having worked professionally with coffee and coffee machines both as a job and in my home. Time to give the brew group a detail clean🤩👍

my shuttle thing doesn't "slide right out" even after removing the clip. It's firmly attached. What to do?

having cleaned my brew unit, it refuses to start the cycle; the warning light comes on and the machine malfunctions??

Have the 8856/03 unit. Have reset brew unit and cycled the motor but it never resets back to its "home" position to allow me to insert the brew unit again. Replaced the limit switch on brew unit drive because it was a bit green and corroded but still doesn't work. Any ideas? 😢

Hello, great video, but what do I do if the brew unit still doesn't want to go in? It's in neutral position, I hear the adjustment going (I see the screw move; I overwrote the door sensor so I can see). The unit still doesn't go in. 🤷‍♀️ Thank you, any help would be appreciated.

Might you have any advice on removing a brew group that is stuck inside the machine? The arrow on the yellow plug is nearly opposite of the N arrow. Thanks! I've already turned it off and on and also factory reset as directed by a Philips representative.

Can you tell me where to get these O-rings and possible a new infuser? I may need at least the O-rings. I have searched the web with my Model Number of my TrewBrew CAM51025MB and nothing comes up for either. The O-rings I find are all general or go for different De Longhis and no infuser I have found looks like mine ( the one you are working on) I have my unit almost a year and it is definitely having problems. I hoping a good cleaning will help but may need more than that. BTW nothing on the maintenance part in the manual states about doing this to the infuser. Very disappointing and I am hoping it is not totally destroyed. I thank you in advance.

This video was really helpfull! Thank you so much for making this video. I was cleaning the brewgroup for the first time (my husband usually does that), but I couldn't get the brewgroup to get back in the machine. After I saw your video and watcht it again step by step I managed to do it. Now I didn't have to make a fool out of myself by asking my husband to help me. He'll be really surprised I didn't just clean it, but that I'd even greased the components.

Interesting, I use hot water, but have been reluctant to use soap because I've been concerned about fully rinsing it off. I'll try that on the next go around. I set reminders for myself for weekly rinse, monthly de-oil, bimonthly re-greasing.

Hello and thank you for this very clear video. HELP NEEDED: I have a problem with my Philips Lattego 5400: I clean it roughly every 2 weeks and I find a lot of coffee grounds everywhere in the body of the machine itself. Every time the machine asks me to empty the water and coffee grounds, I find lots of coffee grounds in the dirty water container and there are coffee grounds accumulated everywhere when I remove the unit 154206 :( However, the machine makes coffee normally, that's what I don't understand... Could you tell me what is not working correctly?

OMGOODNESS!!! I worked on the machine over 2 hours until I finally looked this problem up. I had the whole unit unplugged while trying to get the brew unit back in. Thank-you so much for this video. Ready for some coffee, finally!
